Established in 1939, it began as a small production facility specializing in traditional spices. The Early Days

Ông Chà Và was founded in 1939. Initially, it was a small facility in Southern Vietnam, specializing in producing and selling traditional spices such as turmeric powder, cinnamon powder, and ginger powder. The first products quickly earned the trust of consumers due to their high quality and rich flavor.

Periods of Difficulty and Growth

After the country went through many historical changes, Ông Chà Và faced numerous challenges. However, due to persistence and a spirit of constant innovation, the brand maintained its reputation and continued to grow. By the 2020s, Ông Chà Và’s products had become popular not only in the South but also nationwide.

Expansion and Development

With the new factory in Ben Luc covering 33,000 square meters, equipped with advanced production technology, the company expanded its factory scale and improved product quality. The 2020s marked significant development as Ông Chà Và launched the “Agricultural Spice” category and began selling and marketing through e-commerce channels.

Global Brand

Ông Chà Và has not only focused on the domestic market but has also pushed forward with a globalization strategy. Its products are now available in many countries around the world, from Asia to Europe and America. The brand has participated in numerous international fairs and received many prestigious awards for product quality.

Key Milestones

  • 1939: Founded the Ông Chà Và brand.
  • 1976: Nosafood merged with a small private enterprise and was established under the Vietnam Food Group.
  • 2004: Successfully privatized the state-owned company into a joint-stock company with 70% sold to new shareholders (State retains 30%).
  • 2009: Mr. Ho Joong became a major shareholder and was appointed Chairman, while also serving as General Director and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dalat Milk Joint Stock Company.
  • 2015: Renamed the company to NOSAFOOD Joint Stock Company.
  • 2018: Mr. Ho Joong became a major shareholder and was appointed General Director and Chairman of the Board of Directors. Began rebranding and product development.
  • 2020: Launched the new Agricultural Spice category. Started selling and marketing through e-commerce channels.
  • 2021-2022: Constructed a new Ben Luc Factory (33,000 m2 of construction and greenery).
  • 2023: Moved and began operations at the new Ben Luc factory.

For many years, Ông Chà Và has received awards and titles from reputable organizations both domestically and internationally, such as “High-Quality Vietnamese Goods,” “Top 100 Clean Food - High-Quality Vietnam Top Food,” and “APEC Quality Brand Award.”
